About Infinity Racing

What is F1 in Schools:
F1 in Schools is an international competition where teams of high school and middle school aged students design and manufacture miniature Formula One cars. The cars are designed using SolidWorks (Computer-Aided-Design/Computer-Aided-Manufacturing) and Computational-Fluid-Dynamics software to calculate aerodynamics in a virtual wind tunnel. The cars are then calibrated to regulations and the team programs a Computer- Numerical-Control mill to manufacture the final cars made of balsa wood. The cars, powered by CO2 cartridges, are raced down a 20 meter track in which their times are clocked by a computer. The competition is hosted in 31 countries and counting and is sponsored by the Formula One Constructers Association in England.

Who we are:
We are Infinity Racing, an F1 in Schools team from Heritage High School in Littleton, Colorado. Our team won the State Competition back in February and therefore we will be representing Colorado in the F1 in Schools National Competition in Baltimore, June 2010. Infinity Racing consists of four members: Ellyn Green (Senior), Miles Cole (College Freshman), Kara Drechsler (Senior), and Will Kinsley (Junior). For the past six years, Infinity Racing has been nationally ranked, and our hope is to place 1st at Nationals in order to proceed to the International Competition which will be located in Singapore Malaysia in the Fall of 2010.
